MARY BLACK
Founder. Coach
Mary is an FIE accedited Level 3 Epee Coach, and has been involved with fencing since 1991 - representing New Zealand many times including a World Championships and Commonwealth Championships. She loves seeing new fencers develop confidence and tactics in the sport!
She is back competing - placing 2nd in Australian National Veteran Women's Epee in 2019.

Mary is committed to encouraging and supporting fencers grow in the sport and in the fencing community.
DAVID ELDER
Coach
Dave represented New Zealand from 1978 - 1997, competing on the World Cup A Grade Epee circuit.
​
He was awarded an Olympic Solidarity Coaching Certificate in 1981, and is currently the President of Fencing North.
​
Dave brings his vast experience to the club - sharing tricky tactics and a real understanding of the game.
